When Is It Preferred?
Elliptical air duct was developed for projects that want to benefit from circular duct's aerodynamic advantage while working in height-restricted spaces such as suspended ceilings or wall cavities. It has lower pressure loss than prismatic duct and takes up less space than circular duct.
